The theoretical substantiation of the development of digital literacy of university students in non-IT areas of training

The paper considers the relevance of the development of digital literacy of university students in nonIT areas of training. Modern documents on the development of digital literacy, as well as works on digital competencies, information and digital literacy by Russian and foreign scientists, are analyzed. The analysis of the conceptual apparatus on the research topic is given - the concepts of “literacy”, “computer literacy”, “digital literacy”, “students of nonIT training areas” are revealed. The concept of “digital literacy of university students in non-IT areas of training” is formulated. In accordance with the interpretation of the concept, its structure is defined, which is a combination of the following components: epistemological, praxeological and axiological. The indicators of the components of the development of digital literacy of university students in non-IT areas of training are described. The used research methods are the analysis of scientific literature on the studied problem, the study and analysis of documents.
