The historical memory of young people, whose representatives did not actually experience many significant events in Russian history, includes various discursive practices consisting of normative narratives about the past of society and existing in the form of semantic language models.Historical narratives are consistent with each other on the basis of the principle of intertextuality in them. To promote the linguistic models of historical memory that are normative for a particular society, it is necessary to use discursive management of historical meanings, which should be the basis of the formation of the historical policy of the state. In the process of forming normative models of historical memory, individual historical events are subjected to historization, which is the actualization and interpretation of individual historical events and personalities. The basis of historization is the commemoration of a historical event, that is, the semiotic actualization of the meaning of the historical narrative. In the process of memorization, it is necessary to select memory triggers represented in the form of sounds, images, smells, words. Triggers are the basis of the appearance of a narrative, which can be expressed in the form of films, books, performances, exhibitions dedicated to a historical event.
