Theoretical and methodological foundations of the cultural-philosophical study of military culture phenomenon

The article aims to identify the theoretical and methodological foundations for the study of the military culture phenomenon from a philosophical standpoint. The study shows that in the cultural-philosophical knowledge it has been insufficiently investigated. An analysis of the literature, in which certain aspects of military culture are considered, has shown that there is no consensus among scholars regarding a content of the concept itself, articulating the corresponding denotation. This fact repeatedly actualizes the need to study the phenomenon of military culture, both for scientific knowledge in general and for the philosophy of culture in particular. The article offers the author's understanding of the essence of military culture, drawing on previous research potential of this issue. Methodologically, in the cultural-philosophical study of the phenomenon of military culture, it is proposed to rely on the principles of systemic, culturological and comparative-historical approaches.
