Modern trends in the development of international cultural cooperation, an increase in the number of intercultural projects, festivals and competitions create a need for a systematic approach to the formation of intercultural communication competence of future specialists. The formation of intercultural communicative competence is based on fundamental methodological approaches: competence, anthropological, axiological, ethno-cultural, synergetic. The authors analyze the methodological concepts of the formation of intercultural communicative competence of foreign and domestic scientists; present the author’s model of the formation of intercultural competence in students of a university of culture, which includes four integrative blocks: communicative, emotional-value, cultural-cognitive and practice-oriented. The theoretical and methodological basis for the formation of intercultural communication competence is formed on the integration of various scientific approaches, each of which highlights the essential aspects of the phenomenon under study. The anthropological approach focuses on the personal development potential, the axiological approach emphasizes the value foundations, the ethno-cultural approach underlies the understanding of the specifics of cultural characteristics, and the competence approach ensures the practice-oriented focus of the educational process.
