Theoretical and pedagogical basis for forming students' readiness for media educational activities

The relevance of this study is due to the fact that modern changes in the media environment have a significant impact on the requirements for the training of future specialists, their ability to navigate in the current information space and readiness to perceive, evaluate and create media texts of various genres and content. This set of abilities and readiness is expressed in pedagogical theory by the terms "media competence" and "media literacy". Teachers should be able to prepare students to perceive, comprehend, process media information and use it in educational, educational and research, project and future professional activities. This segment of the professional activity of a teacher is called media education activity. The purpose of the article is to clarify the content of the concepts "media education", "media education activity", "readiness for media education activity", as well as to develop methodological and technological solutions related to the formation of students' readiness for media education activity. A set of methods was formed and filled with content that contribute to the formation of students' readiness for media education activity.
