Terpenes and their application in clinical practice

This article describes the role of the terpens in the treatment and metaphylaxis of urolithiasis. The terpens improve derivation of the urinary stone and protect the kidneys. The Renotinex® is new medical product. It includes six terpens and alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E). Vitamin E reduces blood a calcium level moderately. Thus Renotinex® can be recommended for long-term metaphylaxis phosphate, uric acid, and especially calcium-oxalate nephrolithiasis. Authors declare lack of the possible conflicts of interests.
