The article is devoted to the use of test quality control of knowledge assimilation in the process of studying the discipline “Informatics”. Since the discipline “Informatics” is practice-oriented, then in the preparation of tests it is necessary to use such tasks that cover not only definitions and concepts, but also their practical application. The article presents the forms of test items and presents their practical implementation and application. The problems of the analysis of test items in the aspect of their complexity and the quantitative ratio of open, closed and semi-open forms are revealed. The calculation of the coefficient of difficulty for each test task and the test as a whole for intermediate control of knowledge is given. The verification of the reliability test by the splitting method according to the Ruhlon and Kuder - Richardson formulas is made. The determination of the validity of individual test tasks is made by calculating the values of the point biserial correlation coefficient.
