Текст научной статьи The importance of using new information technologies in teaching foreign language
Foreign language, especially English, is very popular, and almost everyone has already realized that without the knowledge of a foreign language it is very difficult to exist in the modern world, to find prestigious work, etc. Indeed, almost all students want to learn English, but this does not mean that they want to work hard to know the language. Learning English, as well as studying any other subject, requires hard systematic work, especially since the vast majority of students do not have the opportunity to communicate with native speakers.
Increasing the educational activity of children is greatly facilitated by the use of non-standard or non-traditional forms of work in teaching.
The use of multimedia in English classes is a requirement of today, on the one hand, and a huge help in the work of the teacher, on the other. Despite the fact that more time is required to prepare for the lesson, the result exceeds expectations, as information and communication technologies, as a means of developing motivation for learning activities in English classes, create ideal conditions for the formation of intellectual competence and creativity of students.
Using multimedia tools, I create an atmosphere of cooperation in the classroom, stimulate activity and creativity among students, form a positive attitude to learning activity, develop a motivation that ensures self-development, selfeducation of the learner's personality. In my lessons I use such technical means as audio, video, computer, projector. All this helps me successfully solve many problems of the modern educational system: the diversity of forms of presentation of educational material, the accessibility of education, the use of new technologies and methods of education.
Interactive training based on multimedia programs allows me to more fully implement a whole range of methodological, didactic, pedagogical and psychological principles, making the learning process more interesting and creative. Using a computer, allows me to organize individual, pair and group forms of work at the lesson.
An important aspect of the use of ICT in the lessons of a foreign language is project activity. Multimedia presentations have actively entered the learning process. Students use the Internet to collect material for projects. One of the possibilities of using multimedia technologies in the lesson is a multimedia presentation with a bright video sequence (illustrations, video clips, sound). I can prepare such a presentation myself or instruct the presentation to be created by the students. This presentation can be used during various forms of lessons or as a multimedia guide for the independent work of students in preparation for the lesson. The study of a topic or section always ends with repetition, fixation and generalization. All these elements I unite and I offer my students on the final stage of each topic, to create a multimedia project, instead of the traditional abstract. When creating a presentation, the children have an excellent opportunity to systematize the acquired knowledge and skills, and apply them in practice. The children have an interest in independent creative work, they realize the significance of the results of their work. Students form a value attitude to information and communication technologies as an effective means of increasing their level of knowledge. At the heart of the project method is the development of cognitive skills of students, the ability to independently design their knowledge, skills to navigate in the information space, the development of critical and creative thinking.
In the practice of teaching a foreign language, the design methodology has found great application. This is due to a number of reasons, including, for example, the presence of problems posed in each lesson, a large number of compiling own monologic and dialogical utterances, the study of regional geography, analysis and comparison of cultures of different peoples and countries. The method of projects can be considered an effective stage in the formation of critical thinking. As a result of a certain search, research, creative activity, students not only come to the solution of the problem, but also create a concrete real product demonstrating the ability and ability to apply the results obtained in practice.
Based on the practice of applying the project methodology, I can say with confidence that this technique can be used at any stage of the lesson: updating the basic knowledge, fixing, repeating the previously studied material. Preparing a lesson using the project methodology is a very effective method of developing students' conversational speech. The project method was used by me in organizing a lesson on the topic "The Excursion to the State Museum of Art, Literature and Culture of Altai". From the material of previous lessons, students are familiar with many lexical units that reflect this topic. At the initial stages of acquaintance with the topic, lexical material was activated. Then followed the excursion to the State Museum of Art, Literature, History and Culture of the Altai Territory. At the initial stage, it was very important to formulate the theme and the final goal of the project, determine the timeframe, come up with what materials and sources students can use, choose the best form for presenting the results. During the excursion, the students got acquainted with all the expositions, learned a lot of new and interesting information about their city, about the people who brought worldwide fame to the Altai Territory. No one left indifferent historical chronicles, archaeological research.
From the practice of my work, I can conclude that the project methodology is a great incentive in the work of students, leads to the active development of a foreign language, the application of their knowledge in each specific situation.
