The typology of literary images in M. Cvetaeva's poems and problems of their translation

The articles handles different classification principles underlying the typology of literary images in M. Cvetaeva's poems. This classification is based on those aspects of image building, which allow to define the image as an independent translation unit. Such an approach might be of use in translation practice and pre-translation analysis in order to figure out the mechanisms and models of image genesis in Cvetaeva's poetry, major principles of their transformation while rendering into a foreign language, as well as to define potential “lacuna” and translation problems.
