This research continues the series of studies devoted to the issues of different semiotic codes correlation in the structure of polycode texts, representation of pieces of knowledge in their verbal and iconic components, including those that are characteristic of conflict Internet communication. The immediate goal is to establish the specifics of verbal and non-verbal components correlation in graphic-verbal polycode texts (Internet-memes) of a conflict nature. Correlation models of verbal and iconic components are established. Their frequency of representation in the analyzed texts is determined and productive and nonproductive models are determined and considered. The peculiarities of components correlation in the representation of transferred meanings within the framework of cognitive matrix “Friend or Foe” are analyzed. It is substantiated that the opposition of individual elements of the content within the framework of the dichotomy “Friend or Foe” is often implemented in texts of conflict nature, where both “duplication and addition” and “addition only” patterns of correlation of individual components of the verbal and iconic components are presented. Such a ratio of the verbal and non-verbal parts in the models - full and partial duplication, as well as additions - once again indicates that the text and the image in the context of a single conflict-oriented polycode text support each other, influencing the recipient’s consciousness and forming a certain guideline in the perception of a social problem or a social group.
