The article focuses on description of types of relationships between concepts in the thesaurus of the domain of Sociolinguistics, belonging to the French- Russian sociolinguistic thesaurus. Terms are investigated using the method of the component analysis. This method is a sequential comparison of terms and their definitions. By the number of common and different elements in definitions of two terms we can judge on the degree of their relatedness. Comparison of definitions of different terms allows to identify the semantic fields, which combine certain groups of terms, to reveal the semantic relationships which link separate groups of terms into one field of terms. Thus, a thesaurus is a clearly structured model of conceptual apparatus in the domain of "Sociolinguistics", in which concepts are classified according to the final and possibly a limited number of features. Each such diagram shows the logical-semantic relations of concepts. Thus, a thesaurus can be regarded as a model of structure of the relevant science. On the linguistic level, this model should be filled in with terms of a specific language designating the structured concepts. Thus, lexical-semantic collection of terms in specific domain is the language material that will be hierarchically organized in a semantic tree by means of appropriate relationships and semantic categories.
