Turkic lexicon in the Safavid era

This paper examines the use of Turkic vocabulary in the Safavid era (1501-1736), covering administrative, military and cultural spheres. The research is based on the analysis of preserved written sources, poetic works and documents of the state administration. The paper presents examples of Turkic words, their functions and influence on the linguistic policy and culture of the state. Special attention is paid to the interaction of Turkic and Persian vocabulary, which emphasizes the uniqueness of the linguistic landscape of the era.
