The article deals with the approaches to the definition of the concepts of “tutor” and “tutor support”. There are revealed the functions of tutor support. There are described the main ideas of foreign and domestic authors who have studied the topic of tutor support. The author analyzes the experience of organizing tutor support at Tyumen State University.
