V. A. Zhukovsky's traditions in I. A. Bunin's motif poetics: from lyric poetry to social and political journalism

The article investigates the perception by I. A. Bunin, the lyric-writer and publicist, of Zhukovsky's poetic heritage. Bunin's comprehension of Zhukovsky's creative activity and assimilation of his works as universal pretext include genre-forming, motif and cultural-biographic aspects whose analysis allows to make a conclusion about modelling character of influence of Zhukovsky's artistic world on Bunin's lyrical system.
