The system of secondary vocational education is undergoing a complex step-by-step transformation, the content of secondary vocational education programs is changing, the elements of the educational environment are being updated, and solving the problems of college student education is becoming a top priority. Professional educational institutions are faced with the task of educating and preparing a responsible citizen who is able to independently assess the situation and build his/her activities in accordance with the interests of the surrounding people. The purpose of the research is to study the main directions of the axiological approach to understanding the content and formation of educational activities in the system of secondary vocational education. The results of the study: through the use of methods of theoretical analysis and pedagogical modeling in conjunction with empirical and statistical methods the main directions of the axiological approach to understanding the content and formation of the educational activities in the system of secondary vocational education are identified. This research is a preparatory stage for the development of a model of organizational and methodological support for the teachers in the implementation of a business-oriented direction in the student education in secondary vocational education.
