Traditional forms of Russian peasantry's material and household culture in the national historical science of the late XIX - early XX century

The article is devoted to the historiographical analysis of the study of the everyday material and everyday culture of the Russian people in the works of Russian historians, ethnographers, ethnographers, art historians, researchers of the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. The author pays special attention to the identification by pre-revolutionary authors of the direct connection of pre-Christian religious views with the main components of the material and everyday environment of the Russian peasantry. The research is based on the principles of historicism and scientific objectivity. Specific phenomena are considered as interconnected and changing in time, the objective laws of the emergence and historical development of traditional material, everyday forms are revealed, the relationship between the individual, the particular, and the general is revealed.
