The article is devoted to the development of innovative teaching methods in the professional training of Directors of theatrical performances and festivals, formation of necessary professional competencies. It is noted that in order to resist the moral destruction of culture and preserve traditions, the modern director must possess the qualities of a leader, organizer and manager.
