Trajectories of Socio-Cultural Adaptation of Elderly People: the Concept of «Lifelong Learning»

Currently, the problem of adaptation of elderly people has become more acute. The choice of the trajectory of adaptation of people of the “third age” in the educational environment is relevant. Elderly people who have made this choice under the influence of various factors, often show a lack of interest in traditional formats in the process of continuous learning. This article discusses the socio-cultural environment, which includes the information and symbolic space of culture, the memorial component (memory of the past), projected loci (anticipation of the development of society, its culture in the future) and others. In general, the socio-cultural educational environment actually determines the vector of socialization and adaptation of the individual, its value strategies. The author suggests ways to solve the adaptation problems of gerontopolitics, through the prism of the Lifelong Learning Concept and suggests trajectories of adaptation of elderly people at the present stage based on four theorems proposed by A. G. Teslinov.
