Transformation of the payment sector in Russia in the context of digitalization of the economy and sanctions restrictions

The article presents the main digital solutions for conducting non-cash transactions in Russia, special attention is paid to technologies such as API and NFC and illustrates the increase in non-cash payments using innovative payment instruments in the total payment turnover of the country. The features of the introduction of financial innovations into the payment system of Russia are considered and it is shown that in modern conditions it is long overdue to reduce Russia’s dependence on foreign payment systems.
