The article discusses the specifics of Russia’s foreign trade in the context of increased sanctions pressure from Western countries. Special attention is given to the analysis of export and import trends under current circumstances. The authors note that, despite a general decline in foreign trade figures, there has been an increase in exports and imports to Eastern markets. The study reveals that sanctions have caused significant challenges, including logistics issues and difficulties with international payments.Initiatives to minimize the adverse effects of sanctions-related pressure on foreign trade relations, including in the areas of developing new transport and logistics infrastructure and finding a secure mechanism for conducting international settlements that will enable partner countries of the Russian Federation to avoid the threat of secondary sanctions, are being considered.
