Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill is a very versatile political person, known throughout the world, who has won acceptance and respect not only thanks to his sharp mind and fortitude, but also the ability, or, probably, it would be more correct to say, talent to influence the mind and heart of people linguistic tools. It's the feature allows strong politicians to gain and retain power, as well as use it in pursuit of certain goals. Among linguistic tools, expressiveness plays an important role, an aspect of language associated with the expression of emotions and feelings, which isn't fully studied and still being studied, considered no less important than the personality of Winston Churchill himself. However, thanks to the research already carried out on this topic, it's known that the British politician and orator often uses expressive tools in his political speeches in order to achieve the desired effect. This article is aimed at revealing the place of expressiveness as a linguistic phenomenon that manifests itself in speech as part of the political activity in general and the Prime Minister of Britain, in particular. But an important component of the article is also the translation aspect of expressiveness, especially by what ways can it be kept at the proper level during translation so that it performs the same functions as in the original.
