The novel «Shaman and Kudlatka» by L. Kostyakova represents, as a characteristic of trans-national literature, ethno-cultural consciousness, where Khakass material is said in Russian language - and it leads to human problems through national, ethnic, individual. L. Kostyakova, a Russian speaking author acts simultaneously as «interpreter» and ethnographer of her own national culture into a different language. Trans-cultural components in artistic creative work do not eliminate distinctions between native and foreign culture, but indeed draw attention to themselves by their peculiarity. The author of «Shaman and Kudlatka» stated its genre as an ethno-psychological story. We cannot but agree with it. Namely ethnopsychological nature of everybody of characters, especially heroes, self-identifies ethno-psychology, ethnography and ethno-ontology. Therefore a genre modification of the piece of work played a certain and very important role as well in discovery of its informative bright ethno-origin.
