The main result of school education is the student’s readiness for self-education, self-control and self-government. The results of studies are presented proving that the key factor causing stress in the educational process is the assessment and comparison of the results of students with each other. The purpose of our work is to create a new stress-free way to assess students’ achievements - a three-dimensional rating system focused on the development of self-control and self-government. The conclusion is made about the effectiveness of students’ participation in assessment, giving them the right to choose the level of education, sequentially summing up the student’s grades for each module of subjects, his achievements in research activities, as well as in extracurricular creative activities, including self-government.
