Trivialization of variety creativity as aesthetic problem

The article is devoted to the value and aesthetic parameters of the modern Russian stage. The author pays special attention to some factors of development and transformation of one of the most popular phenomena of mass culture. In the process of considering the essence of variety art, its specific features and the nature of aesthetic transformations in its sphere, the author comes to the conclusion that in a number of trends of “erosion” of the value bases of the Russian stage and the abolition of the “norm of taste” trivialization deserves special study. This trend is revealed in the comparison of the achievements of the “classical” period of development of the stage with the current state of its traditional and innovative forms. The author attempts to define the phenomenon of trivialization as an element of mass culture both in the General sense and in relation to the problem of variety art.
