The purpose of the study: to analisyze the characteristics, clinical course of pulmonary embolism in the patients with diabetes on the basis of new cases of thromboembolic pulmonary artery branches (PE) of deaths in hospitals in Tomsk from 2003 to 2010. Autopsy report and medical records of all patients (653 cases) diagnosed with in vivo and/or pulmonary embolism posthumously, died from 2003 to 2010 were studied. Diabetes mellitus was diagnosed in 129 patients and all patients had moderately severe course or are under the subor decompensation. 28.57% have been accompanied by a high body mass - 31.59±4.41 kg/m2. Ratio of therapeutic to patients surdical in line 2.22 : 1. All patients with diabetes were hospitalized on an emergency basis. 27 patients (21%) were in hospital less then a day, that is blood clots in the ground - the sources of thromboembolism occurred in their home outside the hospital. One major source of thromboembolism were branches of the inferior vena cava. At the same time, 30.2% in place of the primary place of thrombus in the patients with diabetes have the right chambers of the heat, aganst 15.3% in patients without diabetes. Thus, we must conclude that the importance for patients with 2 type diabetes as a risk factor for thromboembolic complication, until now is underestimated at outpatient as well as hospital stage.
