The article discusses the objective difficulties faced by younger schoolchildren in the process of mastering morphemics and morphemic analysis (poorly developed abstract thinking, etc.), the main reasons for the difficulties encountered (formalism in morphemic analysis, etc.) are indicated. The role of word-formation analysis, elementary word-formation theory, the introduction of a number of word-formation concepts in mastering morpheme-word-formation skills by younger schoolchildren is noted.
