Employment of athletes under the labor legislation of the Russian Federation

The article discusses the legal basis for regulating labor relations between athletes and employers. The features of the legal status of athletes are analyzed, provisions from labor legislation, as well as other regulatory acts are considered. The article examines the basic principles, the process itself, and the maximum possible, normatively established levels of workload during the performance of work by athletes. The author also evaluates the effectiveness of labor legislation in regulating labor relations in the field of sports.
