Labor activity of persons of retirement age in the Russian Federation

Citizens of retirement age act as a potential reserve for increasing the number of employed. The use of the labor potential of people of retirement age, in the context of structural demographic changes, is important for the economy. The article presents the results of the analysis of the dynamics of the demographic load indicator, the number of pensioners in the Russian Federation, the employment of persons of retirement age. It is concluded that it is necessary for state executive authorities and local self-government bodies to implement measures that contribute to increasing the labor activity of people of retirement age.
