Employment contract under the labour legislation of Tajikistan

The employment contract occupies a central place in the labour law system. But until now, there were no systematic scientific studies of this particular institute in the law of the Republic of Tajikistan. The article is aimed at studying the labour legislation of Tajikistan in the field of regulation of the employment contract. The article notes that the system of Tajik labour laws was initially based on the principles and provisions of the Russian labour legislation. However, the Labour Code of Tajikistan in the legal regulation of the employment contract has its own characteristics. We believe that some of them could be used to improve the current Russian labour legislation. Taking into consideration the large volume of the legal provisions regulating the issues of employment contract, we focus on only a few aspects of the Labour Code of Tajikistan, in particular, on the legal regulation of the concept of an employment contract, the characteristics of its parties, and the procedure for concluding an employment contract.
