Tourist police: foreign experience, current state and development prospects

Introduction: the article considers the tourist police in the prism of the international experience of various countries of the world and the modern state in the Russian Federation, as well as the prospects for the development of this unit in the future. Materials and Methods: Materials and Methods: the methodological basis for this article was the analysis and synthesis of the international experience of the existence of the tourist police in Western Europe. The empirical basis of the study was the practical activities of the tourist police units that appeared in Russia to ensure security during the World Cup in 2018. Results: an analysis of the activities of tourist police units in Russia revealed problems in organizing the activities of the unit, the lack of a full-fledged regulatory legal act regulating the activities of this service and the methodology for training police officers. Discussion and Conclusions: the author's approach to solving the highlighted problems is presented, which consists of the creation of special units of the tourist police on an ongoing basis, the need to create a full-fledged regulatory legal act regulating the activities of this service, in an exact form, spelling out the functions, goals, tasks of the tourist police units, the powers of employees, rights and obligations, responsibility.
