В статье освещается проблема развития туристского образования в контексте глобализационных процессов современности. Исследовательское поле работы сформировалось на основе массива статей из зарубежной периодической печати, анализ которых позволил сформировать общее представление об эволюции подходов к формированию образовательных программ по туризму. Проведённый анализ позволил сформулировать некоторые выводы относительно перспектив развития профессионального туристского образования в России. Актуальность данных выводов представляется несомненной в свете перспектив формирования новой системы российского высшего образования.

Tourism education in globalization (based on foreign sources)
The problem of the development of tourism education in the context of the globalization processes of modernity is the subject of discussion in this article. The research field of work was formed on the basis of an array of papers from foreign periodicals, the analysis of which allowed us to form a general idea of the evolution of approaches to the formation of educational programs in tourism. The analysis of this material allowed us to formulate some conclusions regarding the prospects for the development of professional tourism education in Russia. The conclusions formulated in the article are of particular relevance in the light of the prospects for the formation of a new system of Russian higher education.
