Tourism over a distance and time: the geographer's view

The article addresses the issue of the space and time nature of the tourist recreational activity. The author presents a geographical perception of various geo-space kinds and identifies certain peculiarities of the tourist recreational geo-space. The "space" category is examined in continuous and inseparable connection with the "time" category. It is in this unity that both categories make up the space and time continuum which, in turn, determines the properties of the tourist recreational activity.
