The сreative heritage of Arseniy G. Rydal and Konstantin F. Stepanov-Kolosov as the common treasure of the Russian and Azerbaijani theater

The author reconstructs the biographies and creative activities of talented directors Arseniy G. Rydal and Konstantin F. Stepanov-Kolosov, who played an important role in the development of professional theatrical art in Azerbaijan. Their names are written not only in the history of the Azerbaijani theater because they both worked in different cities of the former Soviet Union, including giving a lot of energy to the development of the Krasnodar Drama Theater. In the Baku period Arseniy G. Ridal (in 1926 1939) and Konstantin F. Stepanov-Kolosov (in 1949 1954) carried out more than 30 productions, which left a deep impression in the memory of the audience. The creative efforts of Arseniy G. Ridal and Konstantin F. Stepanov-Kolosov contributed to the enrichment of the repertoire and the strengthening of friendly ties between our peoples.
