Creativity of composer Wang Jianzhong in the context of the Chinese piano art

Piano art in China originated in the XIX century, and the national school was formed during the XX century in the development of which the outstanding Chinese composer Wang Jianzhong played a major role. The article considers various stages of the composer’s creativity, peculiarities of his author’s style, musical language. Special attention is paid to the analysis of piano works, which demonstrate Wang Jianzhong’s innovative approach that combines western compositional technique with the Chinese aesthetics.
