This article discusses the role of the prosecutor at different stages of criminal proceedings. The author examines the specifics of the prosecutor's powers in the area of supervision and criminal prosecution. His role in the investigation of criminal cases by investigation and inquiry. As well as the specifics of studying a criminal case received by the prosecutor with an indictment and for further referral of the case to court. In conclusion of the article, the author concludes that the participation of the prosecutor in the implementation of evidence ensures compliance with the main principle of criminal proceedings - the principle of legality.
