Communicative event participants: terminological apparatus

The article considers the problem of the terminological apparatus for the communicative event participants. The author analyzes various classifications based on the role and characterological features of an addressee and an addresser in a communicative act. Attention is paid to mass media, where a complex formation is distinguished, comprising the producer and the created by him “audience sketch”, including a target recipient and a potential target recipient. The classification involved focuses on identifying the motivational attitude and functional orientation of the speech act.
