Accounting for the Heterogeneity of Biological Tissues in the Problems of Controlling a Point Source of Heat

The article addresses the problem of controlling a point heat source, taking into account the heterogeneity of biological tissues, such as varying thermal conductivity and heat capacity in different regions. A mathematical model based on the heat conduction equation with variable coefficients is proposed, along with numerical methods for solving the problem. Special attention is paid to the application of the model in medical tasks, such as hyperthermia and laser therapy. The results demonstrate that accounting for tissue heterogeneity improves the accuracy of thermal control and minimizes damage to healthy tissues. Numerical experiments confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The developed method can be used in medical applications requiring precise temperature control, as well as in other fields related to thermal management in heterogeneous media.
