Considering juvenile age and individual peculiarities in interrogation

The article is devoted to the problem of taking into account age and individual peculiarities of juvenile participant of criminal proceedings for effective interrogation. The authors estimate conditions of the investigator’s qualified preparation for interrogating a juvenile: comprehensive study of the juvenile, his life conditions and background; determining the time for this investigative activity, means of summoning, narrowing a range of people for interrogation; developing a plan of interrogation, detailing the number of and formulating the main and test questions. The paper reveals negative consequences of interrogation conducted without considering juvenile age and individual peculiarities: lack of contact, misrepresentation of the happening, failure to obtain proofs, tactical and other investigative faults. The importance of studying psychology-pedagogical aspects of interrogating juveniles is proved by results of the questionnaire conducted in 2017 among thirty investigators of Omsk region. Thus, 66,4% of them talk with juveniles on extraneous matters, 30% of the respondents sometimes do it to remove tense, 58% have knowledge of psychology of different juvenile age groups. All the investigators respond that they try to take into account juvenile psychological peculiarities in interrogation.
