Preobrazhensky dynasty of teachers (based on materials of the Central State Archive of Samara oblast)

The article is devoted to the Preobrazhensky dynasty of teachers who lived in the Samara region at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. The author analyzes the family composition, teaching experience and place of work of each of the family members who have chosen teaching as their life’s work. The activities of the Preobrazhenskys in the teaching field were highly appreciated not only by pupils, but also by their parents, colleagues and educational authorities. Analysis of archival materials led us to the conclusion about the significant contribution of the Preobrazhensky family to the development of education in the Samara region at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
