Distant learning and ways of its modification in Astrakhan students and their parents’ evaluations

The study shows the perception of distant learning by Astrakhan student and parent communities. Both the actual practice of education during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the opinion about distance learning in general and the directions of its modification were studied. The author came to conclusion that evaluation of online learning differs significantly among students and their parents: if the students for the most part perceived this period as a time for hedonism, the parents on the contrary had to deal with responsibilities associated with both organization of access to distant education, and control of the whole process. One of the studied aspects of distance learning educational practices was digital inequality among the families of schoolchildren, which manifests in insufficient technical supply for families with low incomes. That negatively affected access to educational services. The result of the gathered data processing was developed directions for modifying the implementation of remote education. These directions are include technical, communication, methodological and organizational.
