Stable optically-contrast suspensions of modified nanoparticles were obtained based on elaborated technologies of covalent surface functionalization of carbon nanoparticles by bioactive compounds (antibodies, bacterial proteins, etc.). Synthesized reagents were used to create high-performance noninstrumental systems for clinical and field diagnostics via dot-immunoassay, immunochromatography and immunofil-tration. Technological pattern for carbon conjugate synthesis was adapted for industrial-scale production and could be readily resized. Physical-chemical properties such as size (9817 nm), form, storability, ab-sorbance spectrum were analyzed against covalently functionalized nanoparticles. Data obtained yielded the formulation of monitoring principles for qualitative functionalization and synthesis. The prospects for carbon nanoparticle conjugates are outlined not only for test-system designing, but for target drug delivery and for surface cell structure study as well.
