Criminal legal characteristics of violence: doctrinal and normative aspects

The article examines the category of “violence” in relation to criminal legal relations. The points of view of domestic legal scholars are analyzed, which reflect the theoretical justification for the sign of violence. The subject of analysis is also the norms of criminal law, one way or another regulating this category. A comparison is made between the concepts of “violence” and “coercion”. The author's formulation of the category “violence” is formulated.
