In the article proposed for study, some aspects of exemption of persons with mental disorders from criminal liability and imposing compulsory medical measures are analyzed. When examining these aspects, the author establishes a conflict of criminal law and criminal procedural norms that give the court the right, in the absence of corpus delicti, due to the mental disorder of a person, to recognize the proven fact of a criminal act and to impose compulsory medical measures on the person in the framework of criminal proceedings, as to the person who committed criminal act. The author comes to the conclusion that there is a contradiction to the criminal law of imposing compulsory medical measures on persons with mental disorders.
