Criminal law aspects of school shooting in the context of national security

Based on theoretical and applied research, an analysis of the legal nature of the negative socio-legal phenomenon school shooting was carried out. It is argued that school shooting is a socially dangerous phenomenon that has a negative impact on the components of national security. Acts of school shooting are multi-objective acts, since they also encroach on the life and health of students and staff, and the property of educational organizations. In order to establish internal consistency of legislation on responsibility for terrorist activities in the manifestation of acts of school shooting, it is necessary to indicate in part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation the place of commission of the crime.
