Diseases of reproductive organs in children have their peculiarities. They are caused mostly not by inflammation, but by inborn defects, impairment of sexual differentiation, hormonal disbalance (hypogonadism, intersexual puberty, impaired puberty). The detailed survey of embryology, anatomy, physiology of prostate is presented. The peculiar features of prostate diseases in children and adults are discussed, as well as modern diagnostics.
