Ultrasound study of acute diseases of the scrotum

To study the echographic semiotics of acute diseases of the scrotum performed with polypositioned ultrasound in 222 children with the syndrome of acute scrotum from 1 year to 17 years. The article presents the main echographic signs of necrosis of hydatid, testicular torsion and epididymitis. The high efficiency of modern ultrasound methods in the diagnosis of acute diseases of the scrotum in children is proved. It was established that the sensitivity of ultrasound study in diagnosis of torsion (volvulus) of egg - 94,4%, necrosis of hydatid - 95,8%, specificity - 99,3% and 95,1% respectively.
