Aim: study of cardiac connective tissue of children and adolescents with primary arterial hypertension and hypotension based on comprehensive ultrasound. Material and methods: the cardiac ultrasound results of 184 children and adolescents aged 9 to 16 with primary disturbance of systemic blood pressure were analyzed (90 patients with primary arterial hypertension and 94 patients with primary arterial hypotension). Results: the ultrasound revealed that children and adolescents with primary arterial hypertension and hypotension, occurring against the vegetative nervous system dysfunction, have various changes in the cardiac connective tissue in combination with systemic dysplasia, which are more pronounced at hypotension than at hypertension, and the changes increase when the disease is progressive and becomes more severe. The significant cardiac manifestations of connective tissue dysplasia were diagnosed, in this connection it is recommended to have regular cardiologic check-up, dynamic electrocardiography and ultrasound (at least once a year).
