The article is a review of the book “You see, this is a very simple way…” Archpriest Vasily Stoykov in the Memoirs of Colleagues and Students , published on the death anniversary of the oldest teacher of the Academy, Honored Professor, First Vice-Rector, Doctor of Theology honoris causa, Archpriest Vasily Stoykov. It is noted that the novelty is unusual for the St. Petersburg Academy Publishing House, whose book catalog is dominated by scholarly monographs. The content, structure and design of the book are characterized in detail, and selected quotations are given. It is shown that the collection contains valuable evidence about the Russian Church history and has an important ascetic component, while distinguished by its bright immediacy, liveliness and accessibility of presentation. In conclusion, the author of the review expresses the hope that the Publishing House will continue to publish similar books about the history of the Academy, its outstanding teachers and staff with unique experience, not only deceased, but also present.
