This article focuses on the problems of aesthetics, literary and artistic movements of the turn of XIX — XX centuries. The author notes that, despite the apparent triumph of the ideas of decadence, for the aesthetic concepts of many literary and artistic movements of this period, the priority was to appeal to a simple and natural life forms. In connection with this distinguished Catholic symbolism, naturism,unanimizm.
