Based on a qualitative analysis of the field equations of different spins on the curved nonvacuum background pp-wave metrics of Petrov type N, the separation of the variables of the spinor, vector and tensor fields was made, the solution for the field components in terms of the Debye potentials was constructed. It is demonstrated that a universal equation of the Teukolsky type can be constructed not only for the case of metrics of type D with zero energy-momentum tensor, but also for non-vacuum metrics of type N.
